This past week Gwyn bought this Fancy Nancy card game using her very own money. It's the first time she's taken anything out of her piggy bank. We were at the store the week before when she spotted this. When she asked if she could get I instantly felt like one of those moms who gets their kids whatever they want, because normally I would since it was only five bucks. But this time I told her she could buy it if she had enough in her piggy bank. She was so excited. She's had her piggy bank for a couple years now and with the exception of a few dollar bills from when grandparents visit she's mainly just put in loose change she's found around the house. When we counted her monies she had $26.00! We took a five out and went to the store the next day. Best five bucks she's ever spent. We've played this game a few nights this past week and it's actually really fun.
