We are officially under contract on a house. yikes. It's a nice house in the mountains about 20 to 30 minutes east from downtown Seattle. We have probably looked at what feels like 50 homes from within Seattle and the surrounding areas. While I really liked the Bryant neighborhood in Seattle, there just weren't any homes that fit what we needed. Who would have thought wanting at least two bedrooms AND a bathroom on the same floor was hard to come by? I just love those old homes with character and charm. The house we're going to get (or should get, we close on June 15) is a newer home, built in 2004. It's in a master planned community with retail and residential mixed together. It's a nice area. Kinda reminds me of the movie Pleasantville. One good thing about the neighborhood is that there are tons of families with kids and tons of parks.
We're so ready to be home.
