Bees .... nature's little butthole.
Gwyn got stung by a bee yesterday! Anyone who knows me knows that I am deathly afraid of bees. Not only bees, but anything that can sting me. I have yet to get stung and I have built it up in my head that it would be the worst pain ever. Aside from being attacked my a bear. I imagine a bear attack would involve the bear tearing off one if not all of my limbs then beating me to death with said limb(s). very tragic. So anyway ... when Gwyn got stung yesterday I was freaking out a little bit. I tried to stay calm for her .. she was crying pretty hard. Then I clicked into mommy mode and started watching her really closely to see if she started swelling up or anything. Having never been stung, I wasn't sure if she was allergic. After about a couple minutes she was off and playing again. No swelling, no nothing. Just about 30 seconds straight of hard crying then .. done. hmmmm .... in my mind a bee sting would involve rolling on the ground agonizing and wallowing in pain. Glad to see that wasn't the case, just not so glad my daughter was the one who had to show me.

It was pretty much the same for Simran -- I was the one freaking out the most. LOL. So afraid of it swelling and all. She has now developped a fear of bees tho and anything flying -- which isn't too bad. LOL
ReplyDeleteYour thought of bear pain is very valid!
ReplyDeleteReal bear hugs are often fatal...
Sweet sweet justice on that bee for stinging my little girl, though.
ReplyDeleteOh, ouch! I dread the day a bee - or any little bugger for that matter - gets ahold of my sweet NHV. No fun, no fun :(
