hell has frozen over and we’re ice skating

We are very lucky. Our neighbors are awesome. We frequently have impromptu back-alley cook outs. Last night was one of them. One never knows where the night is going to take you when everyone is drinking. Last night we started playing a board game, Catch Phrase (pretty fun actually), and ended the night singing karaoke! Yes, both Matt and I, sang karaoke!! We both had never done it before because we're both shy that way. It's one thing to belt out Lionel Richie while doing dishes .. but to have a microphone and have ALL eyes on you ... pressure. Our neighbor Dave started the night off by doing some Ozzy. Awesome. Before I knew it, I was singing "bye bye bye" by n'sync with Sandi! I totally bogarted one of the three microphones. I was a duet with whoever sang the next song. I totally embraced my Asian side last night. I am proud to say that Matt has embraced his too.

Nice!! Crump and I have welcomed drunken karaoke into our lives with open arms. You should see his version of "Genie in a Bottle" and the horror in little Cailin's eyes that comes with it.

Alison

So you were like your mom with singing "it's the power of love" eh? I'll never forget that tape that had the same song playing over and over and over again.
