life happens

I haven't left my house in 6 days. We're having all kinds of wintery situations here from freezing rain, sleet, snow, black ice, and that makes it dangerous to be on the roads. Gwyn and I don't have anywheres to go anyhow. Her Gymboree class will most likely be cancelled tomorrow. Luckily I haven't gone stir crazy just yet. Found out last week that I am losing my job. Nothing I did caused or could have prevented this. The owner decided to close up shop and gave everyone two weeks severence. Well, it's a working severence, however that's suppose to work. Our official last day is Jan. 25. All this is kind of a shock still. I knew the possibility of the company shutting down was always there, especially when you're told the company is under a soft evaluation. I never worried because we were also told that if and when the decision to close down is made, it would not be anything rash. We all would have plenty of notice. I think two weeks is crap to find a new job. I will be sticking to my full time job and not be looking for another part time job. Gwyn and I will finally have the chance to do whatever we please whenever we please. If only we could leave the darn house! 4:45 PM 2 Comments 2 Kudos
