From the land of Nottingham

Last week we brought Gwyn to the aquarium at Fair Park. Fair Park is where they have the Texas State Fair every year. It has about 8 different museums, a huge ferris wheel, a couple concert venues, an IMAX, and a park area. It was our first time to Fair Park so I wrote down the directions on how to get there and looked on the website for the location of the aquarium. I got us to fair park with no problem at all. Signs told us where it was best to park depending on what museum you wanted to go to.

While walking away from the car Matt asks me, "where is the aquarium?".

"In the shadow of the ferris wheel", I say.

He stops, looks at me and says, "what the hell, are you from the land of nottingham? What does 'in the shadow of the ferris wheel mean?".

I tell him that I was quoting the website verbatim and head towards the ferris wheel. We get to the ferris wheel and there was no "shadow". The sun was directly above us. Matt promptly tells me that he's not leaving the directions up to me anymore. I don't know what he's complaining about, the aquarium was right behind the ferris wheel. Had the sun been a little more to the west a shadow like no other would have been cast over the aquarium. We were just too early.
