Nothing beats taking a little mini break from work and just hanging out with the little one and enjoying the company you're with. The in-laws and our niece came up to visit for a few days. Had a good time .. went to a fireworks show ... got rained on ... then sat in traffic for an hour. Like I said .. good thing we enjoyed the company we were with. Sitting in traffic with people you don't like just makes the situation worse! haha. We also went to the zoo in Fort Worth. Gwyn was more impressed with seeing "ducks" than by anything else. It was hot and humid, but we made the best of it. We took our in-laws to get some fish tacos. I talked it up telling them that it sounds like it would be gross, but it's not what they expect. It's not fish in taco seasoning .. that it's actually fried fish with cabbage in a soft taco shell. Matt and I love them, but the in-laws did not like them. Well ... they said it was "edible". Strike one. Matt made for breakfast one morning some cream of wheat with whole berries that we add. Strike two. In laws AND the niece did not like it. My family eats it two to three times a week! At least they all liked Pei Wei and Mi Cocina ... asian and mexcian food. Hubby said we should have just taken them to taco bell and they would have been happy ...
