So we get this bill in the mail. It's a water bill from home for the month of September for about $38. A normal bill from them would have been about $42. That strikes us as odd because due to the hurricane we didn't have water for about two weeks of September. Matt called and talked with them and they reasoned the bill by saying that since they were unable to come read the meters and that FEMA trailers could have been using the meters they decided to charge $38. Uhmm HELLO?? They were unable to read the meters because they were physically unable to come read the meters from the DESTRUCTION, I'm sure their meter readers went left to work for FEMA since that happened all over the coast, and because the meters would not have read ANYTHING!! WE HAD NO WATER!!! FEMA trailers??? If they would have came to our neighborhood they would have seen that there weren't any FEMA trailers!! No other utility company charged us ... cable, power, even my cell phone! It's just all wrong. 12:17 PM |
