 |  I took this picutre out of the rubble of a friend's parent's home after the hurricane. Thought it was kinda ironic. (Ashley if you're reading this .. it's from Kalif's parents') Life here for us has been non-stop since the hurricane. Sure, life in general is getting back to normal when referring to our basic necessities  such as power,water, cable, internet, grocery store stock, and tj maxx. At least TJ Maxx is open .. haha. Not only are we getting our normalcy back .. but we've sold our house and Matt was offered the position in Dallas. Looks like we'll be heading out to Texas. We put our house on the market on Saturday and by Saturday evening we had an offer. The agent showed it to one couple. CASH deal also! Can't beat that. The elderly couple who's buying our house lost everything on the beach in the hurricane. They plan on rebuilding on the beach and need a place to stay in the mean time. Wish I had that kind of cash! They also just bought a Lexus with cash. mm-mm-mm. Needless to say we'll be busy for the next few weeks to months with the move, finding a place in texas, and getting the house here all set to hand over. I am just so excited to be moving to an actual city ... but at the same time I feel a little sad. Like we're abandoning our home (the coast) when it needs us the most. 4:19 PM |
