Normalcy is relative

Monday, September 19, 2005
Slowly but surely we are getting some normalcy around here. Went grocery shopping twice this week. First time I went out there was no feta cheese, but today they finally got some in! Went out to eat for our third anniversary. Had a very limited choice of where, so we ate at Applebees. I had fried shrimp and Matt had grilled chicken from their very limited menu. We had originally planned on going to The Cheesecake Factory in New Orleans. Guess we won't be going there for a while. My new roof was completed today. That's a huge weight off our shoulders. We were VERY lucky to have gotten our roof SO quickly. Right in time for Rita to come and test her out (the pit in my stomach is back). We finally got cable last night!! We were really getting sick of watch two channels. There was only so much ABC and FOX I could handle, although I was still able to watch General Hospital and Oprah :) With cable we finally got our internet back. Dial-up at the in-laws ... that was painful, even in comparison to no power for two weeks (THAT SUCKED, and I was only in it for one week!). So for now, as long as we stay in our house ... life feels pretty normal .. that is until we walk outside and look at our neighbors home ...
