| When we first looked at homes in Mobile we had a realtor named Sam. On our second trip to look at homes we met with a different realtor, Rita. I wanted to meet with Sam again on that second trip, but my husband thought he was a little too young (just graduated college) and didn't know too much about anything (like we're much older ourselves). All I knew was that he was very nice (but not too nice where it's annoying) and that he didn't put any pressure on me. Not to mention that when we met with Sam he was very organized, had everything for me bound in a booklet with maps, highlighted directions .... most questions I had were able to be answered by the info he gave me. Rita on the other hand just doesn't seem to be working that hard for us. She showed us the house we're interested in and that's why we are working through her. We have called her for the past three days asking for information we initially asked for when we walked through the house. Matt flat out told the lady that we're pretty much ready to move on this house once we review the info we're waiting on from you. One would think that would light a fire under her ass. OH! Another thing about Rita ... on Saturday we spent over 4 hours with her looking at houses in the sweltering heat and NOT ONCE did she offer us a drink, EVEN after we returned to her office. Nevermind the fact that lunch time came and gone and not a mention of it. Sam bought Matt and I lunch. I just think that if I had a couple ready to move on a house, I'd be all over it making sure the process was a smooth one. I mean hell, the house costs a pretty penny .. I guess I could understand a little more if we were under the poverty line looking at homes over our head. Hmmm .. well ... we did show up in our 1997 Saturn (I'm sure Rita quickly judged us there), I wore a skirt, tank top and flip flops and my hair was in a pony tail (she may have thought I was still in high school, I get that alot..haha), Matt was in khaki shorts, tenny shoes and unshaven .... we did have the baby and mother in law with us ... I dunno, we may have looked a little "comfortable" .. but dammit, we're not out to impress the damn realtor, she's supposed to WORK FOR US. 6:56 PM |
