I'll take the pee-no gree-gio Last night I went to my first wine social. It was interesting. You pay a flat fee then get to visit each table where they'll each have four to six different wines you can try. Multiply that by about seven tables and that's a lot of wine. Now, you don't get a full glass with each wine.. I'd say they'd pour from a fifth of a glass to a quarter of a glass. You also don't have to drink all that was given to you. Each table has a bucket where you can pour out what you don't want. At the same time, you are more than allowed to drink ALL that you ask for during the three hours of the shin-dig. They also had heavy hors d'oeuvres, which was very good. The coconut covered lobster was awesome. I'd have to say by the end of the night I decided that I am a white wine girl. There were a few red wines I liked, but not the merlot. I'm not sure who the maker was, but all I can say about it is "das es not goot".
